Description
You have seen cars that look good in a picture and disappointing in real life. These photo's are disappointing when compared to the auto itself! If you demand perfection in an automobile, this is a definite candidate for your consideration. It started with a beautiful never dented, NEVER RUSTED ANYWHERE, garaged 1950 Lincoln with 40,000 actual miles on it. Most chrome and stainless trim was excellent but need it or not, every piece was taken off and polished or rechromed! Everything done to this car only added to the perfection. The old Lincoln did not have power disc brakes, power steering, tilt, cruise, air conditioning and all the things we demand in an auto today. It did not have the new Jamco suspension that replaced kingpins with ball joints, added new coil springs, heavy duty swaybars, larger shocks an disc brakes that now make this car handle better than new! It did not have a complete stainless steel exhaust system with 2 1/2 pipes. It has all that and more now. The engine is a new Ford 460 cubic inch crate engine, coupled to a new C6 automatic trans and through a 9 inch Ford rearend with 3 to 1 gears. At 65 m.p.h. set on the cruise control it will get 20 miles/gallon. That is exceptional for a car with this much power and weight. Extreme detail exists in things like the stainless door sills and the fact that foglights, spotlights and even the backup lights carry the Lincoln name. The paint can not be captured with my camera as far as color and perfection. It is a Ford base coat/clear coat from the 90's called Desert Violet. I can not capture the straightness of the body panels or the perfect click when closing a door. The Lincoln has been dirven just 7,000 miles since the rebuild. It is ready to drive anywhere you want to take it. And when you park it, you will not find oil laying on the floor when you drive it away again. If you have any questions, contact me. Better yet, invest the time to come see this automobile. You will not be sorry! This auto is sold as is/where is. Transporting is responsibility of the buyer.
